The Boston Harbor Hotel invited budding chefs ages 6 to 12 to enjoy fun and interactive cooking classes designed with them in mind.
Chefs In the Making Cooking Classes
This February School Vacation Week, the Boston Harbor Hotel offered two unique opportunities for kids. Kids were invited to join two of the Hotel’s best chefs at their special Chefs In The Making classes for a fun, educational and inspiring afternoon of cooking!
Under the expert guidance of Executive Sous Chef Garrett Welch and Pastry Chef Shawn Dresser, the children first enjoyed a tour of the pop-up Harbor Market featuring a vegetable garden and fresh seafood. They learned about produce and even touched a live octopus!
Finally, the young chefs were treated to a special “behind the scenes” look at the Boston Harbor Hotel’s kitchen, and learned to prepare two dishes – a healthy Vegetable Spring Roll and a Mixed Berry Shortcake!
Each child took home their own chef hat and apron, recipe card and any left-overs of their culinary creations. Take a look at some of the photos from this week’s classes!
